We are examining the nature of literacy learning in short, selected slices of video data. These are the questions we are planning to examine: Bob, Cassandra, Genna, & Heather: How does teacher pedagogy and classroom environment affect student engagement? Brittany, Jason, Tamara: How does the use of situated learning change the participation of this classroom? Doug, Kelly, Matt, & Pierce: Does collaborative learning go beyond the classroom setting? Anna, Grace, Hali, & Shannon: In what ways does teacher facilitation encourage productive peer interaction?
